Reem H. Abboushi was born and raised in Jenin, West Bank. She is the seventh and youngest child in her family. Reem has very fond memories of her childhood in Jenin and her family life

Asala announced that in the 3 quarter of 2008, it distributed 405 loans valued at USD $572,400.  Of this total, 199 loans were distributed in the West Bank valued at USD $465, 700, and 206 loans

 In September 2008,  Asala, distributed 113 loans valued at USD $201,900.  Of these total loans, 69 loans were disbursed in the West Bank valued at USD $173
